Erosion & Textures

I have been photographing textures and erosion for many years. I have been attracted to these time worn surfaces which are created naturally in what appears to be a random act of time, and such natural influences such as dampness, evaporation, heat, wind, cold resulting ultimately in the beauty of erosion.

This is a small sampling of my library of photographs. Perhaps my attraction to these surfaces is the simple fact that they are not created with intention, they are accidental in their result.

All of these photographs were taken by me. I don’t hunt for these beautiful surfaces, they seem to find me; I’ve discovered them in my travels and daily life.
