Take a look at these two photos, what do they have in common?
I am often asked what inspires my artwork? I am always inspired by the natural world when it comes to color. On the left is a harvest from a morning jaunt in my vegetable garden – note the colors. The recent painting on the right, titled ‘Lightning Sky’, certainly seems to reflect some of the colors that I have been surrounding myself with during this summer’s vegetable harvest. When I was working on this painting, I did not consciously put this together. I know I am unconsciously influenced by what I see in my daily life in the natural world.
